An adventure

full of innovation and entrepreneurship

Princesa brand Soap was born from the fascinating story of a Lebanese man born in 1911, who came to Mexico in 1928, where he began an outstanding entrepreneurial journey in 1931: In the small town of Temax, Yucatan, applying learnings from books he had read, hard work and a devotion to innovation, he began producing a blue marbled laundry soap never before seen in Mexico, naming it after the loving word with which he used to call one of his sisters: Princesa (meaning Princess).

Ten years later the success of his laundry soap bar allowed him to establish a factory in Merida, the state’s capital, where he also produced coconut oil and margarine.

His entrepreneurial spirit would make him venture into manufacturing cooking oil, fats and flour, establishing bakeries, henequen (sisal) rope factories and entering production and trade of agricultural products such as henequen (sisal), sesame, pumpkin and cacao, among others.

After his death in 1969, his descendants continued his legacy of innovation and entrepreneurship.

From the Mid-1980s to the 1990s, new product lines were added, offering new versions, aromas and packaging of soaps and liquid detergents, including the Princesa hand and body soap bar.

During the first decade of the 21st century the company developed formulas for fabric softeners, introduced new packaging, sizes and aromas. At the end of the 2010 decade the Pinyl brand multipurpose cleaning liquid entered the market, and its brands have kept growing to new territories in Mexico and neighboring countries.

Currently Princesa Soap Factory offers a wide range of products that deliver deep cleaning with irresistible aromas, in attractive and practical packaging, to keep all your clothes clean and to maintain your home spotless and shining.
